Organise a Lunch Out Loud and invite family, friends or colleagues along to talk 'Out Loud' about the joys and challenges of parenthood.
Lunch Out Loud is PANDA’s initiative to raise awareness and funds for the ongoing support and education of the community about perinatal anxiety and depression.
Five easy steps to hosting your Lunch Out Loud
1. Set the date: while Lunch Out Loud can coincide with Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Awareness Week, you can hold your event at any time of the year. And despite the name, it doesn’t have to be a lunch. It can be: a picnic, barbecue or a morning tea a formal dinner or a large scale banquet or any gathering involving food, drink, laughter and fun.
3. Invite guests: invite as many guests as your venue can handle, whether at home, in a restaurant or café, in the park or at work. Download invitation >
4. Use social media: Facebook is a great way to promote and plan your Lunch Out Loud. Set up an Event page, invite your guests and keep them updated in the lead up. Use our special hashtags #LunchOutLoud #bePNDAaware
5. Fundraise: Invite friends and families to donate via your Lunch Out Loud event page (You will be sent a link once you register your event) You can also accept cash donations or print out a Credit Card Donation Form. After your event you can post these to PANDA or scan and email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
Most importantly, have fun! At PANDA we hear every day that parenting can be tough. But friendship, laughter and shared experience are a great first step in this unique journey.
