“I first really noticed myself starting to crumble in the middle night when I was trying to settle my son and the frustration just boiled over,” says Garrett, a 34-year-old change manager who struggled with mental health following the birth of his children. A mental illness typically associated with new mums, it's still largely unspoken about in men, but according to Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia (PANDA), one in 10 new dads suffer with post-natal depression following the birth of their baby.
