Mental Health Care in the Perinatal Period - Australian Clinical Practice Guideline
These guidelines were developed in 2017 by the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) with support from an Expert Working Group. PANDA was pleased to participate as a member of the Expert Working Group providing consumer insights from PANDA’s National Helpline.
The Guideline supports health professionals in providing evidence based care. The Guideline is relevant to the care of all women in the perinatal period. The Guideline covers screening and psychosocial assessment, as well as treatment advice for women with depressive and anxiety disorders, severe mental illnesses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis) and borderline personality disorder.
