Why give to PANDA this June?
Elissa, Larah and Cat are all incredible women. Each of them lived with perinatal anxiety or depression, a serious and common illness that can devastate the lives of individuals and families and even put lives at risk.
Neither Elissa, Larah or Cat expected to experience such a shattering illness after becoming a mum. Happily, each of them were able to access the specialist care and support they needed from PANDA to help them recover and move on with their lives.
The illness they suffered, however, will continue to torment families across Australia.
Up to one in five expecting or new mums and one in tend dads will experience perinatal anxiety or depression. Its effects will ripple through families and communities. Some families will be devastated. Lives will even be put at risk – but it doesn’t have to be like this.
Can you help? Here’s how you could make a real difference:
$80 could provide an additional one hour’s
counselling and support through PANDA’s National Perinatal Anxiety &
Depression Helpline. An hour that could be the turning point for a new mum just
like Elissa, Larah or Cat.
$250 could help an expecting or new mum or dad through several sessions and see them well and truly on their way towards recovery.
Or if you’re feeling particularly generous (which would be amazing)…
$1000 could make a huge impact by helping PANDA reach expecting and new mums in communities all over Australia so they know to watch out for this potentially devastating illness.
With only days until the end of the financial year, please make your donation to PANDA today to ensure you can include your tax deductible receipt in this year’s tax return.
