On the darkest days of perinatal anxiety and depression, an unassuming mothers' singing group became a lifeline for a Brisbane mother.
Sarah Muchall joined the Singing Mums group on the recommendation of a friend and she said the experience had been "wonderful".
"Well, after having my darling, I had very bad postnatal anxiety and depression and going through the motions every day became tricky and sometimes was very tricky," Ms Muchall said.
"Having this group as the one thing in the week that was for me was such a positive influence.
"Knowing it was an environment about nurturing the mother and providing the community for mothers but was also accepting, if not, willing to embrace the children as well," she said.
