After we receive your application, we will be in touch to arrange time for a 20 minute phone interview, to have an initial discussion about this volunteer program, your interest in applying, and your readiness to undertake the training this year.
After the phone interview, the next step would be a face-to-face interview at our North Fitzroy office during office hours. Applicants in country areas may be able to do this interview by phone or Skype if needed.
The face-to-face interview takes approximately one hour. It will help you explore in more depth with us whether you are well enough recovered from your experience of perinatal anxiety and depression to undertake this work. It will also explore the skills you bring to this role, and how you might handle its challenges. We ask you to bring two referees, professional or personal.
If you are successful you will offer you a place in the next training program which commences on 9 October, and runs every Tuesday from 10am to 2.30pm for a total of six weeks (except Cup Day), to Tuesday 20 November. CET volunteer training programs are always held annually, between August and November, with a break for the school holidays. Early applications are encouraged.
