Early Parenting Centres
Early Parenting Centres provide education, support and advice to parents and families with children from birth to preschool age who are struggling with the challenges of early parenthood. Their trained and supportive staff deal with a range of issues the parents are facing in the care of their baby/child such as feeding their baby (breastfeeding, bottle feeding and introducing solids), their baby or child's sleep and settling routines, behaviour problems and adjusting to and sharing the parenting relationship.
Services are offered through a residential program as well as parents attending a day program at the Centre. Parents can contact Centres directly or can be referred by their Doctor or Maternal and Child Health Nurse.
