Self Care

Self Care is an important part of recovery, but can be beneficial to any parent.

The Better Health Channel has several pages that can be useful in assisting with self care:
Self-esteem is your opinion of yourself. Everyone lacks confidence sometimes but people with low self-esteem are unhappy or unsatisfied with themselves most of the time. Low self-esteem can cause problems including depression and anxiety.
Wellbeing is not just the absence of disease or illness. It is a complex combination of a person's physical, mental, emotional and social health factors. Wellbeing is linked to how you feel about yourself and your life.
