Public Speaking

PANDA conducts many speaking engagements and educational talks in Victoria each year.  PANDA speakers draw on a depth of knowledge about perinatal depression and anxiety gained from many years of service provision as well as the lived experiences of PANDA staff and volunteers.

PANDA’s volunteers have been trained in public speaking to use their personal story as an expression of their experience of, and learning from, perinatal depression and anxiety.

We also use our senior staff and volunteers for more formal or academic presentations.  Some presentations may involve a combination of formal content and personal experience.

We present to a wide range of groups including mother’s groups, the Australian Breastfeeding Association, new parent groups, Maternal and Child Health Nurses, students, playgroups, support groups, antenatal groups and related health professional and service providers.

We will discuss with each group what their needs are and what will suit them best.

Some presentations may incur a cost recovery charge for preparation, resources and travel. Please discuss this with us when booking.
